A FAA propõe adotar uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (DA) para certos motores International Aero Engines AG (IAE AG) Modelos V2522-A5, V2524-A5, V2525-D5, V2527-A5, V2527E-A5, V2527M-A5, V2528-D5, V2530-A5, V2531-E5 e V2533-A5. Esta DA proposta foi motivada por investigação do fabricante que revelou que certas pás do rotor do compressor de alta pressão (HPC) do 3º estágio eram suscetíveis a desgaste de envoltório e falha de pá. Esta DA proposta exigiria a substituição das pás do rotor do HPC do 3º estágio afetadas por peças elegíveis para instalação. A FAA propõe esta DA para abordar a condição insegura nestes produtos.
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain International Aero Engines AG (IAE AG) Model V2522-A5, V2524-A5, V2525-D5, V2527-A5, V2527E-A5, V2527M-A5, V2528-D5, V2530-A5, V2531-E5, and V2533-A5 engines. This proposed AD was prompted by a manufacturer investigation that revealed that certain 3rd stage HPC rotor blades were susceptible to shroud wear and blade failure. This proposed AD would require replacement of affected 3rd stage HPC rotor blades with parts eligible for installation.
