A FAA propõe adotar uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (DA) para certos aviões The Boeing Company modelo 787-8, 787-9 e 787-10. Esta DA proposta foi motivada por um relato de múltiplas instâncias de perda do transponedor para aviões entrando em espaço aéreo na presença de interferência de onda contínua (CW), onde o transponedor não atendeu aos requisitos de padrões mínimos de desempenho operacional (MOPS) para resposta do transponedor. Esta DA proposta exigiria a substituição do hardware da unidade de processador do sistema de vigilância integrada (ISSPU) esquerda e direita. The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of multiple instances of loss of transponder for airplanes entering airspace in the presence of continuous wave (CW) interference, where the transponder did not meet the minimum operational performance standards (MOPS) requirement for transponder response. This proposed AD would require replacing the left and right integrated surveillance system processor unit (ISSPU) hardware.
