ACTION: Notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM). SUMMARY: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A350-941 and A350-1041 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of mechanical noises originating from the nose landing gear (NLG) shock absorber during ground maneuvers. This proposed AD would require repetitive inspections ( i.e., steering checks) of the NLG shock absorber and applicable on-condition actions and limit the installation of affected parts under certain conditions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. DATES: The FAA must receive comments on this proposed AD by July 7, 2025.
