ACTION: Final rule. SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Helicopters Model SA330J helicopters. This AD was prompted by the determination that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD requires revising the existing maintenance records by incorporating new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. DATES: This AD is effective May 9, 2025. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of a certain publication listed in this AD as of May 9, 2025. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background The FAA issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to amend 14 CFR part 39 by adding an AD that would apply to all Airbus Helicopters Model SA330J helicopters. The NPRM published in the Federal Register on October 24, 2024 (89 FR 84836). The NPRM was prompted by EASA AD 2023-0146, dated July 14, 2023 (EASA AD 2023-0146), issued by EASA, which is the Technical Agent for the Member States of the European Union.
