ACTION: Final rule; request for comments. SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam S.p.A. (Tecnam) Model P-Mentor airplanes. This AD was prompted by the failure of the pilot seat locking mechanism. This AD requires an initial and repetitive inspections of the seat rails of pilot and co-pilot seats and completing corrective action as needed. This AD includes an optional terminating action for the inspection requirement. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. DATES: This AD is effective September 26, 2025. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of certain publications listed in this AD as of September 26, 2025. The FAA must receive comments on this AD by October 27, 2025.
