Esta ação revoga a Rota por Jato J-534 e a Aerovia Federal VOR (Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range) V-349, altera as Aerovias Federais VOR V-23 e V-165, e estabelece a Rota de Navegação por Área Canadense (RNAV) T-645 no Noroeste dos Estados Unidos. A FAA está tomando esta ação devido ao descomissionamento iminente da porção VOR da auxilia de navegação (NAVAID) VOR/TACAN (Tactical Air Navigation) de Whatcom (HUH), WA. A porção VOR do VORTAC de Whatcom está sendo descomissionada em apoio ao programa de Rede Operacional Mínima (MON) VOR da FAA. Existem duas aerovias que utilizam a convenção de nomenclatura V-23. The FAA is taking this action due to the pending decommissioning of the VOR portion of the Whatcom (HUH), WA, VOR/Tactical Air Navigation (VORTAC) navigational aid (NAVAID). The VOR portion of the Whatcom VORTAC is being decommissioned in support of the FAA's VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) program. There are two airways that use the naming convention of V-23. One is located in the state of Hawaii, and the other is located in the state of California.
