Esta ação altera as Vias Aéreas Federais VOR (Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range) V-9, V-78, V-341 e V-430, e a Rota Canadense de Navegação de Área (RNAV) T-765; e estabelece a Rota RNAV dos Estados Unidos (EUA) T-490. A FAA está executando esta ação devido ao descomissionamento planejado da porção VOR da Auxiliar de Navegação (NAVAID) VOR/DME (VOR/Equipamento Medidor de Distância) de Iron Mountain, MI (IMT). This action amends Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Federal Airways V-9, V-78, V-341, and V-430, and Canadian Area Navigation (RNAV) Route T-765; and establishes United States (U.S.) RNAV Route T-490. The FAA is taking this action due to the planned decommissioning of the VOR portion of the Iron Mountain, MI (IMT), VOR/ Distance Measuring Equipment (VOR/DME) navigational aid (NAVAID). SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Authority for This Rulemaking The FAA's authority to issue rules regarding aviation safety is found in Title 49 of the United States Code. Subtitle I, Section 106 describes the authority of the FAA Administrator. Subtitle VII, Aviation Programs, describes in more detail the scope of the agency's authority. This rulemaking is promulgated under the authority described in Subtitle VII, Part A, Subpart I, Section 40103. Under that section, the FAA is charged with prescribing regulations to assign the use of the airspace necessary to ensure the safety of aircraft and the efficient use of airspace. This regulation is within the scope of that authority as it modifies the National Airspace System (NAS) as necessary to preserve the safe and efficient flow of air traffic. History The FAA published an NPRM for Docket No. FAA-2024-2458 in the Federal Register (89 FR 87985; November 6, 2024), proposing to amend VOR Federal Airways V-9, V-78, V-341, and V-430, and Canadian RNAV Route T-765; and establish U.S. RNAV Route T-490 due to the planned decommissioning of the VOR portion of the Iron Mountain, MI, VOR/DME NAVAID.
