A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para helicópteros Columbia Helicopters, Inc., modelo 234 e helicópteros categoria restrita modelo CH-47D. Esta AD foi motivada por dois relatos de falha de haste rígida de controle de voo (haste), devido a um defeito de fabricação. Esta AD exige a remoção de certas hastes do serviço e proíbe a instalação dessas hastes. A FAA está emitindo esta AD para resolver a condição insegura nesses produtos.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Columbia Helicopters, Inc., Model 234 helicopters and restricted category Model CH-47D helicopters. This AD was prompted by two reports of a flight control rigid connecting link (link) failure, due to a manufacturing defect.
