Esta ação altera as Rotas Federais VOR V-13, V-133 e V-300, e a Rota de Navegação por Área dos Estados Unidos (EUA) T-331; estabelece as Rotas de Navegação por Área Canadenses Q-924, T-765, T-776 e T-810 no espaço aéreo dos EUA; e revoga a Rota de Jato J-533 e a Rota Federal VOR V-348. A FAA está adotando esta ação devido ao descomissionamento planejado da auxíliar de navegação VOR de Thunder Bay, Ontário (ON), Canadá. This action amends Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) Federal Airways V-13, V-133, and V-300, and United States (U.S.) Area Navigation (RNAV) Route T-331; establishes Canadian RNAV Routes Q- 924, T-765, T-776, and T-810 in U.S. airspace; and revokes Jet Route J- 533 and VOR Federal Airway V-348. The FAA is taking this action due to the planned decommissioning of the Thunder Bay, Ontario (ON), Canada, VOR navigational aid (NAVAID). SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Authority for This Rulemaking The FAA's authority to issue rules regarding aviation safety is found in Title 49 of the United States Code. Subtitle I, Section 106 describes the authority of the FAA Administrator. Subtitle VII, Aviation Programs, describes in more detail the scope of the agency's authority. This rulemaking is promulgated under the authority described in Subtitle VII, Part A, Subpart I, Section 40103. Under that section, the FAA is charged with prescribing regulations to assign the use of the airspace necessary to ensure the safety of aircraft and the efficient use of airspace. This regulation is within the scope of that authority as it modifies the Air Traffic Service (ATS) route structure as necessary to preserve the safe and efficient flow of air traffic within the National Airspace System. History The FAA published a notice of proposed rulemaking for Docket No. FAA-2023-2326 in the Federal Register (88 FR 85519; December 8, 2023), proposing to amend VOR Federal Airways V-13, V-133, and V-300, and RNAV Route T-331; establish Canadian RNAV Routes Q-924, T-765, T-776, and T-810 in U.S. airspace; and revoke Jet Route J-533 and VOR Federal Airway V-348 due to the planned decommissioning of the Thunder Bay, ON, Canada, VOR NAVAID.
