A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para certos aviões Bombardier, Inc., modelo CL-600-2B16 (variante 604). Esta AD foi motivada por um relatório indicando que um novo conector de placa de filtro para o módulo de controle eletrônico (ECM) do sistema de direção da roda do nariz (NWS) não atende a certos requisitos de certificação. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model CL-600-2B16 (604 Variant) airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report indicating that a new filter plate connector for the nose wheel steering (NWS) system electronic control module (ECM) does not meet certain certification requirements. This AD requires replacing all affected ECMs. This AD also prohibits the installation of affected parts under certain conditions. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background The FAA issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to amend 14 CFR part 39 by adding an AD that would apply to certain Bombardier, Inc., Model CL-600-2B16 (601-3A, 601-3R, and 604 Variants) airplanes. The NPRM published in the Federal Register on December 28, 2023 (88 FR 89633). The NPRM was prompted by AD CF-2023-14R1, dated May 15, 2023 (Transport Canada AD CF-2023-14R1) (referred to after this as the MCAI), issued by Transport Canada, which is the aviation authority for Canada.
