A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para certos aviões modelo 767 da The Boeing Company. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background The FAA issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to amend 14 CFR part 39 by adding an AD that would apply to certain The Boeing Company Model 767 airplanes. The NPRM published in the Federal Register on October 5, 2023 (88 FR 69107). The NPRM was prompted by a report of cracks on the forward entry door and forward service door cutout aft lower corner fuselage skin and bear strap. In the NPRM, the FAA proposed to require repetitive inspections for cracking at the affected area, and applicable on-condition actions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address undetected fatigue cracks which, if not addressed, could result in a principal structural element's loss of limit load capability, adversely affecting the airplane's structural integrity.
