A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para todos os helicópteros Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH (AHD) Modelos EC135P1, EC135P2, EC135P2+, EC135P3, EC135T1, EC135T2, EC135T2+, EC135T3, MBB-BK 117 C-2, MBB-BK 117 D-2 e MBB-BK 117 D-3. Esta AD foi motivada pela constatação de que as telas para Regras de Voo por Instrumentos (IFR) obstruem a visão do piloto. Esta AD exige a remoção de determinadas telas IFR identificadas por número de peça, conforme especificado em uma AD da Agência Europeia de Segurança Aeronáutica (EASA), que é incorporada por referência.
