A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretiva de Aeronavegabilidade (AD) para helicópteros modelo 505 da Bell Textron Canada Limited. Esta AD foi motivada por relatos de trincas em conjuntos do capuz superior do estabilizador vertical. Esta AD exige inspeções iniciais e recorrentes do conjunto do capuz superior do estabilizador vertical e ações corretivas se uma trinca for encontrada, conforme especificado em uma AD da Transport Canada, que é incorporada por referência. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Bell Textron Canada Limited Model 505 helicopters. This AD was prompted by reports of cracked vertical stabilizer top end cap assemblies. This AD requires an initial and recurring inspections of the vertical stabilizer top end cap assembly and corrective action if a crack is found, as specified in a Transport Canada AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA previously sent this AD as an emergency AD to all known U.S. owners and operators of these helicopters.
