A FAA está adotando uma nova diretriz de aeronavegabilidade (DA) para todos os aviões Boeing Modelo 737 equipados com motores turbofan CFM Internacional, S.A. (CFM) Modelo LEAP-1B série. Esta DA foi motivada por um relatório indicando que o uso de anti-gelo do motor (AGM) em ar seco por mais de cinco minutos durante certas condições ambientais e operacionais pode causar superaquecimento do cilindro interno da entrada do motor além do limite de projeto do material, resultando em falha do cilindro interno da entrada do motor e danos severos à carenagem da entrada do motor. Esta DA exige revisão do manual de voo do avião (MVA) existente para limitar o uso de AGM em certas condições e revisão da lista de equipamentos mínimos do operador existente para proibir despacho sob um certo item. This AD requires revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) to limit the use of EAI in certain conditions and revising the operator's existing minimum equipment list to prohibit dispatch under a certain item.
