This AD requires installing placards in various locations of the flight deck to indicate the proper position for the first observer seat during taxi, takeoff, and landing, and revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM). The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. DATES: This AD is effective August 15, 2023. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of a certain publication listed in this AD as of August 15, 2023.
