A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para todos os aviões Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-2A12. Esta AD foi motivada pela determinação de que os altímetros de rádio não podem ser considerados confiáveis para desempenhar sua função pretendida se experimentarem interferência de operações de banda larga sem fio na faixa de frequência 3,7-3,98 GHz (banda C 5G), e uma determinação recente de que esta interferência pode resultar em informações de altímetro de rádio indisponíveis ou enganosas, afetando adversamente o desempenho do sistema automático de controle de voo (AFCS) e dos sistemas fly-by-wire (FBW) e resultando em aumento da carga de trabalho da tripulação durante decolagem, aproximação e pouso abaixo de 400 pés de altura acima do solo (AGL). Esta AD exige a revisão do manual de voo do avião (AFM) existente com novas limitações para mitigar os perigos identificados devido à interferência da banda C 5G conforme identificado por Avisos às Missões Aéreas (NOTAMs). The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-2A12 airplanes. This AD was prompted by the determination that radio altimeters cannot be relied upon to perform their intended function if they experience interference from wireless broadband operations in the 3.7-3.98 GHz frequency band (5G C- Band), and a recent determination that this interference can result in unavailable or misleading radio altimeter information, adversely affecting the performance of the automatic flight control system (AFCS) and fly-by-wire (FBW) systems and resulting in increased flightcrew workload during takeoff, approach, and landing below 400 feet above ground level (AGL). This AD requires revising the existing airplane flight manual (AFM) with new limitations to mitigate identified hazards due to 5G C-Band interference as identified by Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs).
