This AD was prompted by a determination that new airworthiness limitations are necessary to require periodic replacement; or testing, and replacement if necessary; of the oxygen sensor of the nitrogen generation system (NGS). The NPRM published in the Federal Register on November 28, 2022 (87 FR 72902). The NPRM was prompted by a determination that a new airworthiness limitation is necessary to require periodic replacement of the oxygen sensor of the NGS. In the NPRM, the FAA proposed to require revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate the new airworthiness limitation.
