A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretiva de Aeronavegabilidade (DA) para certos aviões Airbus SAS Série Model A300, série Model A300 B4-600, B4-600R e F4-600R, e aviões Model A300 C4-605R Variante F (coletivamente denominados aviões Série Model A300-600). Esta DA foi motivada por relatos de trincas no flange inferior da costela de suporte do trem de pouso principal (MLG) número 5. Esta DA requer uma inspeção detalhada (DET) única da área afetada e as ações corretivas aplicáveis, conforme especificado em uma DA da Agência de Segurança da Aviação da União Europeia (EASA), que é incorporada por referência. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A300 series airplanes, Model A300 B4-600, B4- 600R, and F4-600R series airplanes, and Model A300 C4-605R Variant F airplanes (collectively called Model A300-600 series airplanes). This AD was prompted by reports of cracking in the main landing gear (MLG) support rib 5 lower flange. This AD requires a one-time detailed inspection (DET) of the affected area, and applicable corrective actions, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background EASA, which is the Technical Agent for the Member States of the European Union, has issued EASA AD 2021-0190, dated August 17, 2021 (EASA AD 2021-0190) (also referred to as the MCAI), to correct an unsafe condition for certain Airbus SAS Model A300, A300-600, and A300-600ST airplanes. Model A300-600ST airplanes are not certificated by the FAA and are not included on the U.S. type certificate data sheet; this AD therefore does not include those airplanes in the applicability.
