Esta ação altera o espaço aéreo Classe D, o espaço aéreo Classe E de superfície e o espaço aéreo Classe E se estendendo para cima a partir de 700 pés acima da superfície, e estabelece Espaço Aéreo Classe E Designado como uma Extensão de uma Área de Superfície Classe D na área de Atlanta, GA. Esta ação substitui a Estação de Radiornavegação de Frequência Muito Alta em Omnidirecional Colocada com Navegação Aérea Tática (VORTAC) de Atlanta pelo termo Ponto de Origem. Esta ação atualiza vários nomes de aeródromos e coordenadas geográficas. Esta ação também faz uma alteração editorial substituindo o termo Diretório do Aeroporto/Instalação pelo termo Suplemento de Cartas nas descrições legais dos espaços aéreos Classe D e E associados. This action amends Class D airspace, Class E surface airspace, and Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface, and establishes Class E Airspace Designated as an Extension to a Class D Surface Area in the Atlanta, GA area. This action replaces the Atlanta Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range Collocated Tactical Air Navigation (VORTAC) with the term Point of Origin. This action updates several airport names and geographic coordinates. This action also makes an editorial change replacing the term Airport/Facility Directory with the term Chart Supplement in the legal descriptions of associated Class D and E airspaces. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Authority for This Rulemaking The FAA's authority to issue rules regarding aviation safety is found in Title 49 of the United States Code. Subtitle I, Section 106, describes the authority of the FAA Administrator. Subtitle VII, Aviation Programs, describes in more detail the scope of the agency's authority. This rulemaking is promulgated under the authority described in Subtitle VII, Part A, Subpart I, Section 40103. Under that section, the FAA is charged with prescribing regulations to assign the use of airspace necessary to ensure the safety of aircraft and the efficient use of airspace. This regulation is within the scope of that authority, as it would amend airspace in the Atlanta, GA area, to support IFR operations in the area.
