A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretiva de Aeronavegabilidade (DA) para certos helicópteros modelo UH-1H de categoria restrita certificados de tipo. Esta DA foi motivada por múltiplos relatos de falha do eixo de transmissão principal. Esta DA exige o estabelecimento de um limite para substituição de certos eixos de transmissão principais, bem como inspeções únicas e repetitivas dos eixos de transmissão principais. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain type certificated Model UH-1H restricted category helicopters. This AD was prompted by multiple reports of failure of the main driveshaft. This AD requires establishing a limit to replace certain main driveshafts, and a one-time and repetitive inspections of the main driveshafts.
