A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para certos helicópteros Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation modelo S-92A. Esta AD foi motivada por uma trinca na estrutura estacionária do prato de comando cíclico do rotor principal (prato de comando cíclico). Esta AD exige inspeção visual da estrutura do prato de comando cíclico em intervalos especificados e, dependendo dos resultados, remoção da estrutura do prato de comando cíclico de serviço. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Model S-92A helicopters. This AD was prompted by a cracked main rotor stationary swashplate assembly (swashplate assembly). This AD requires visually inspecting the swashplate assembly at specified intervals and depending on the results, removing the swashplate assembly from service. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background The FAA issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to amend 14 CFR part 39 by adding an AD that would apply to certain Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation Model S-92A helicopters. The NPRM published in the Federal Register on August 23, 2021 (86 FR 47041). The NPRM was prompted by a notification of an in-service crack in a swashplate assembly inner ring. The crack, discovered during a routine inspection, extended between the uniball bore and near the right-hand trunnion to servo attach bolt hole.
