A FAA está revogando a Diretiva de Aeronavegabilidade (DA) 2017-23-02, que se aplicava a determinados aviões das séries Model 737-200, -200C, -300, -400 e -500 da The Boeing Company. A DA 2017-23-02 exigia inspeções repetitivas, substituição e ações conforme condição aplicável em certos painéis de revestimento da cobertura da fuselagem. Esta DA foi motivada por uma avaliação do titular da aprovação de projeto indicando que os painéis de revestimento da cobertura da fuselagem estão sujeitos a danos por fadiga generalizada. Esta DA mantém as ações da DA 2017-23-02, revisa certas configurações de aeronaves e locais de inspeção, e adiciona aeronaves à aplicabilidade. The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2017-23- 02, which applied to certain The Boeing Company Model 737-200, -200C, - 300, -400, and -500 series airplanes. AD 2017-23-02 required repetitive inspections, replacement, and applicable on-condition actions for certain fuselage crown skin panels. This AD was prompted by an evaluation by the design approval holder indicating that the fuselage crown skin panels are subject to widespread fatigue damage. This AD retains the actions in AD 2017-23-02, revises certain airplane configurations and inspection locations, and adds airplanes to the applicability.
