A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretriz de Aeronavegabilidade (AD) para todos os aviões Airbus SAS modelo A319-111, -112, -113, -114, -115, -131, -132 e -133; modelos A320-211, -212, -214, -216, -231, -232 e -233; e modelos A321-111, -112, -131, -211, -212, -213, -231 e -232. Esta AD foi motivada pela determinação de que fissuras por fadiga podem ocorrer nos furos de fixação do painel de acesso tipo écoutille da asa em determinados painéis de revestimento da asa em aviões com Sharklets ou seus reforços estruturais instalados. Esta AD exige inspeções repetitivas para detectar fissuras na área e ação corretiva, se necessária, conforme especificado em uma AD da Agência de Segurança da Aviação da União Europeia (EASA), que é incorporada por referência. A FAA está emitindo esta AD para solucionar a condição insegura nesses produtos.

This AD requires repetitive inspections for cracking of the area, and corrective action if necessary, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.
