A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretiva de Aeronavegabilidade (AD) para certos aviões modelo 750XL fabricados pela Pacific Aerospace Limited. Esta AD resulta de informações obrigatórias de aeronavegabilidade continuada (MCAI) originadas por uma autoridade de aviação de outro país para identificar e corrigir uma condição insegura em um produto aeronáutico. A MCAI identifica a condição insegura como separação insuficiente das terminações de terra no solo para fontes de energia individuais e terras estáticas. Esta AD exige inspeção e separação, se aplicável, das conexões de terra comum da bateria e gerador na estrutura da aeronave. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Pacific Aerospace Limited Model 750XL airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI identifies the unsafe condition as insufficient separation of ground terminations for individual power sources and static grounds. This AD requires inspecting and separating, if applicable, the battery and generator common ground connections on the airframe. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background The FAA issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to amend 14 CFR part 39 by adding an AD that would apply to certain serial-numbered Pacific Aerospace Limited Model 750XL airplanes with the battery installed within the engine bay at the firewall. The NPRM published in the Federal Register on August 9, 2021 (86 FR 43446). The NPRM was based on MCAI from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), which is the aviation authority for New Zealand. The CAA issued DCA/750XL/30, dated July 5, 2018 (referred to after this as “the MCAI”), to correct an unsafe condition for Pacific Aerospace Limited Model 750XL airplanes.
