A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretriz de Aeronavegabilidade (AD) para todos os helicópteros Leonardo S.p.a. Modelo A119 e AW119 MKII. Esta AD foi motivada por relatos de folga anormal no tubo de torque coletivo em dois helicópteros Modelo AW119 MKII. Esta AD exige inspeções repetitivas dos conjuntos de tubo de torque afetados para detectar qualquer deficiência e ação corretiva se necessário; e a substituição de qualquer peça afetada por uma peça em condição de aeronavegabilidade, sendo esta ação de encerramento das inspeções repetitivas, conforme especificado em uma AD da Agência Europeia para a Segurança da Aviação (EASA), que é incorporada por referência. The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Leonardo S.p.a. Model A119 and AW119 MKII helicopters. This AD was prompted by reports of abnormal play on the collective torque tube on two Model AW119 MKII helicopters. This AD requires repetitive inspections of affected torque tube assemblies for any deficiency and corrective action if necessary; and the replacement of any affected part with a serviceable part, which is terminating action for the repetitive inspections, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.
