A FAA está adotando uma nova diretriz de aeronavegabilidade (DA) para todos os aviões Boeing Modelo 757-200, -200PF, -200CB e série -300. Esta DA foi motivada por indicações de trincas encontradas nos furos de parafuso da asa inferior traseira, onde os trilhos dos flapes se conectam ao suporte de trilho; esta descoberta foi em um avião série Modelo 737-300, que possui design similar aos aviões Modelo 757. Esta DA exige inspeções repetitivas por correntes parasitas de alta frequência (CPAF) para trincas na borda traseira da asa inferior traseira em certos trilhos de flapes, e reparo se necessário. This AD requires repetitive high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections for cracking of the lower aft wing skin aft edge at certain flap tracks, and repair if necessary.
