A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretiva de Aeronavegabilidade (AD) para as aeronaves Airbus SAS modelo A319-171N; modelos A320-271N, -272N e -273N; e modelos A321-271N, -272N, -271NX e -272NX. Esta AD foi motivada por um relatório indicando que durante inspeção dos motores, dois varões originais instalados para manter uma placa de interface entre o pilone e a nacela foram encontrados danificados em ambas as extremidades dos olhos dos varões. Esta AD requer inspeções repetitivas dos varões de interface pilone/motor quanto a danos e ações corretivas aplicáveis, e limita a instalação de peças afetadas sob certas condições, conforme especificado em uma AD da Agência Europeia para a Segurança da Aviação (EASA), que é incorporada por referência. This AD requires repetitive inspections of the pylon/engine interface rods for damage, and applicable corrective actions, and limits the installation of affected parts under certain conditions, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.
