A FAA está adotando uma nova diretriz de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para certos helicópteros dos modelos 204B, 205A, 205A-1, 205B e 212 da Bell Textron Inc. (certificado de tipo anteriormente mantido pela Bell Helicopter Textron Inc.). Esta AD foi motivada por um acidente fatal no qual um pino da correia do cubo do rotor principal externo (pino) se quebrou durante o voo, resultando na pá do rotor principal e na cabeça do rotor principal se desanexarem do helicóptero. Esta AD exige a remoção dos pinos de serviço antes do próximo voo e proíbe a instalação desses pinos em qualquer helicóptero.
