A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para todos os aviões das séries Boeing Modelo 737-100, -200, -200C, -300, -400 e -500. Esta AD foi motivada por um relatório que indicou uma trinca encontrada na aba do ângulo de emenda que está fixada ao anteparo da estação (STA) 540 na área entre certos stringers. This AD requires repetitive surface high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections at the radius of the left- and right-side of the STA 540 bulkhead splice angle for any cracking, and applicable on-condition actions.
