Esta ação altera nove aerovias federais VOR, remove 10 aerovias federais VOR; altera quatro rotas RNAV de baixa altitude (rotas T), estabelece sete rotas T; altera duas rotas RNAV de alta altitude (rotas Q) e estabelece uma rota Q. Esta ação apoia o Projeto de Rota da Costa Atlântica do Corredor Nordeste e o Programa de Rede Operacional Mínima VOR (VOR MON) para melhorar a eficiência do Sistema de Espaço Aéreo Nacional (NAS) e reduzir a dependência de sistemas de navegação baseados em terra.
This action amends nine VOR Federal airways, removes 10 VOR Federal airways; amends four low altitude RNAV routes (T-routes), establishes seven T-routes; amends two high altitude RNAV routes (Q- route), and establishes one Q-route. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Authority for This Rulemaking The FAA's authority to issue rules regarding aviation safety is found in Title 49 of the United States Code. Subtitle I, Section 106 describes the authority of the FAA Administrator. Subtitle VII, Aviation Programs, describes in more detail the scope of the agency's authority. This rulemaking is promulgated under the authority described in Subtitle VII, Part A, Subpart I, Section 40103. Under that section, the FAA is charged with prescribing regulations to assign the use of the airspace necessary to ensure the safety of aircraft and the efficient use of airspace. This regulation is within the scope of that authority as it would modify the Air Traffic Route structure in the northeastern United States to maintain the efficient flow of air traffic.
