ACTION: Final rule. SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Helicopters Model EC 155B and EC155B1 helicopters. This AD was prompted by a report that non-destructive tests of the main gearbox (MGB) housing may have been evaluated incorrectly during production. This AD requires replacing affected MGBs with serviceable MGBs, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. DATES: This AD is effective April 15, 2021. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of a certain publication listed in this AD as of April 15, 2021.
