ACTION: Final rule. SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-100-1A10 airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of failure of a certain fire detection and extinguishing (FIREX) control unit. This AD requires replacing FIREX control units having a certain part number. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. DATES: This AD is effective March 31, 2021. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of certain publications listed in this AD as of March 31, 2021.
