A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para todos os helicópteros Airbus Helicopters modelo EC130B4. Esta AD foi motivada por relatos de desprendimento em voo das portas deslizantes da cabine do lado esquerdo (LE) e casos de dano por impacto nas pás do rotor principal, causados pela degradação do mecanismo de travamento da porta deslizante. Esta AD requer verificações repetitivas (medições) da carga que opera o mecanismo de abertura da porta deslizante, inspeções repetitivas das marcações dos parafusos de fixação para adequado alinhamento, modificação do sistema de fixação da porta deslizante e ações corretivas se necessário, conforme especificado em uma AD da Agência Europeia para a Segurança da Aviação (EASA), que é incorporada por referência. A FAA está emitindo esta AD para resolver a condição insegura nestes produtos.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus Helicopters Model EC130B4 helicopters. This AD was prompted by reports of inflight detachment of the left-hand (LH) side cabin sliding doors and cases of impact damage on the main rotor blades, which were caused by degradation of the sliding door locking mechanism. This AD requires repetitive checks (measurements) of the load that operates the sliding door opening mechanism, repetitive inspections of the markings of the attachment screws for proper alignment, modifying the attachment system of the sliding door, and corrective actions if necessary, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.
