A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para aviões Piaggio Aero Industries S.p.A. Modelo P-180. Esta AD resulta de informações de aeronavegabilidade continuada obrigatória (MCAI) emitidas por autoridade aeronáutica de outro país para identificar e corrigir uma condição insegura em um produto aeronáutico. A MCAI descreve a condição insegura como vedação insuficiente de uma válvula seletora/derivação de comando instalada no coletor do trem de pouso do nariz (NLG). A FAA está emitindo esta AD para abordar a condição insegura nesses produtos.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Piaggio Aero Industries S.p.A. Model P-180 airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as insufficient sealing of a steering select/bypass valve installed in the nose landing gear (NLG) manifold. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Discussion The FAA issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to amend 14 CFR part 39 by adding an AD that would apply to all Piaggio Aero Industries S.p.A. Model P-180 airplanes. The NPRM published in the Federal Register on June 5, 2019 (84 FR 26025). The NPRM proposed to correct an unsafe condition for the specified products and was based on mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which is the Technical Agent for the Member States of the European Union.
