A FAA está adotando uma nova Diretiva de Aeronavegabilidade (DA) para determinados helicópteros modelo Bell 505 da Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited. Esta DA exige inspeção de cada rolamento de conjunto de plataforma oscilante e, dependendo dos resultados da inspeção, remoção do rolamento de serviço. Esta DA foi motivada por um relato de um rolamento que migrou para fora do anel interno da plataforma oscilante. As ações desta DA destinam-se a resolver uma condição insegura nesses produtos.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited (Bell) Model 505 helicopters. This AD requires inspecting each swashplate assembly bearing (bearing), and depending on the inspection results, removing the bearing from service. This AD was prompted by a report of a bearing that migrated out of the swashplate inner ring.
