A FAA está adotando uma nova diretiva de aeronavegabilidade (AD) para certos helicópteros modelo W-3A da PZL Swidnik S.A. (PZL). Esta AD requer inspeções repetitivas do corpo da transmissão principal (Main XSMN) para detecção de trincas e, dependendo do resultado da inspeção, remoção da transmissão principal WR-3 do serviço antes de voos adicionais. Esta AD foi promovida por um relato de trincas no corpo da transmissão principal. As ações desta AD são destinadas a solucionar uma condição insegura nestes produtos.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain PZL Swidnik S.A. (PZL) Model W-3A helicopters. This AD requires repetitive inspections of the main transmission (Main XSMN) case for a crack, and depending on the inspection outcome, removing the WR-3 Main XSMN from service before further flight. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of a certain document listed in this AD as of August 11, 2020.
