ACTION: Final rule. SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc., Model BD-700-1A10 and BD-700-1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report that cracking was discovered in a channel within a structural support member for the rudder quadrant, rudder feel unit assembly, and environmental control system due to fatigue. This AD requires repetitive inspections of the rudder quadrant box assembly for any cracking, and modification of the rudder quadrant box assembly. The FAA issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. DATES: This AD is effective May 7, 2020. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of certain publications listed in this AD as of May 7, 2020.
